A seminar was held in Almaty for employees of branches of the RSE “Statexpertise” on the topic “Basics of earthquake-resistant construction”.

From 6th to 7th of November, 2018 there was held a seminar for employees of branches of RSE " Statexpertise " on the theme "Fundamentals of earthquake engineering", organized by JSC "Kazniisa", which was attended by the branch employees and experts of RSE " Statexpertise " in the Kyzylorda and South region in the branch of RSE "Statexpertise"in Almaty (further – branch). Opening remarks were made by acting Director of the branch A. Khusainov, who noted the importance of this training is required for activity of the enterprise, as a third of the territory of Kazakhstan is located in seismically active regions. The seminar addressed the following topics: seismicity and seismic hazard, earthquake past and potential future devastating earthquakes in world space and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, seismic impacts, and calculation of buildings on seismic effects, the current situation of regulatory, technical and legislative norms in the countries of the European community, and in seismically dangerous regions of Kazakhstan, etc. At the end of the seminar after successfully passing the certification were awarded with relevant accreditation certificates..
