the Construction industry suffered a heavy loss - on July 6, 2023, a veteran of the construction industry BEKMUKHAMBETOV SERIK KIIRBAEVICH died. Serik Kiirbaevich was born on November 4, 1947 in Almaty region, his parents were teachers. In 1972 he graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute. Bekmukhambetov S.K. developed projects of Almaty TETs-2, Tselinograd TETs-2, Omsk TETs-5, Barnaul TETs-3, TPP-PVS of Iskenderun Metallurgical Plant in Turkey, projects of the Main Building and Complex of AASI (KazGAS) in Almaty, the Main Building of Altai State University in Barnaul, a number of universities and SSUZs in cities Karagande, Temirtau, Rudnom, Bukhara, Mubareke, etc. He was a member of the working groups on the development of the draft National Program for the Advanced Construction and Sale of Housing and the draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On New Housing Policy" and the State Program for the Implementation of a New Housing Policy, draft Laws "On Architecture and Urban Planning in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "On Individual Housing Construction," Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Housing Relations"). He took part in the development of the Laws "On Public Procurement" and "On Licensing." In 1996-2001, he headed the working group on the development of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the Concept of State Urban Planning Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Bekmukhambetov S.K. made a significant contribution to the formation and improvement of legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction. Member of the Presidium of the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan since 1996, in 2004-2008, Vice-President of the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan for the Central Region, honorary member of the Union of Urban Planners of Kazakhstan. Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Architecture of the East. Winner and laureate of all-Union and republican competitions of architectural projects. In 1998 - member of the international jury of the International competition for the draft Master Plan of the city of Astana - the new capital of Kazakhstan. In 2007, he was a member of the International Expert Commission on adjusting the Master Plan of Astana.
